🔹 Develop practical knowledge in AI applications and local LLM workflows

📅 Programme Details
Date: 1 – 8 July 2026
Time: 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM (GMT+8)
Platform: Zoom

Lecture Objective

  • Examine the historical development, organizational structure, and regional significance of ASEAN in fostering economic, social, and technological cooperation among member states.
  • Identify challenges and opportunities in enhancing digital literacy among ASEAN youth through AI-enabled educational platforms and inclusive learning ecosystems.
  • Explore the integration of AI with Internet of Things (IoT) technologies to optimize automation, data analytics, and intelligent decision-making across industrial and consumer environments.
  • Investigate the principles, design considerations, and transformative potential of agentic AI systems capable of autonomous decision-making and human–machine co-creation.
  • Analyze the fundamental algorithms, learning processes, and multimodal capabilities that enable generative AI models to produce novel and human-like content.
  • Introduce participants to the workflow of preparing data for local Large Language Models using the Model Context Protocol (MCP) with relevance to the applications in the ASEAN region.

 Learning Outcomes

  • Learners will be able to explain the key functions, strategic priorities, and collaborative mechanisms of ASEAN, and describe its role in strengthening regional integration and innovation.
  • Learners will be able to propose AI-supported strategies to improve digital literacy and equitable access to technology-driven education for youth across ASEAN communities.
  • Learners will be able to assess how AI-driven IoT applications enhance operational efficiency and user experience across various industry domains.
  • Learners will be able to explain the capabilities and limitations of agentic AI, and discuss its implications for productivity, innovation, and ethical deployment in evolving work environments.
  • Learners will be able to describe how generative AI models are trained and evaluate their applications and benefits.
  • Learners will be able to apply MCP-based data preparation techniques to build or adapt local LLM agents that effectively serve ASEAN-specific needs.
