The IPSA-NUS Summer School of Social Science Research Methods brings in world-class, international scholars to teach students cutting-edge social science methodology. In its 13th year running, the programme offers a wide variety of basic to advanced courses in quantitative, qualitative, and mixed research methods. All courses focus on both the theory and practice of social science research, and are especially suitable for advanced undergraduate students, graduate students, academic faculty, government policymakers, civil society leaders and even private sector entrepreneurs.

Global Science Summer Programme

An annual summer programme organised by NUS Faculty of Science, international students are welcome to join the Global Science Summer Programme (GSSP) alongside NUS students. In addition to attending classes, students may also choose to participate in social activities (e.g. field trips, batik painting, etc.) to foster meaningful interactions among students from different parts of the world, broaden global perspectives and enrich personal experiences.

NUS Enterprise Summer Programme in Entrepreneurship

The NUS Enterprise Summer Programme in Entrepreneurship is a two-week, intensive programme with a strong focus on entrepreneurship, offering participants the opportunity to immerse themselves in the venture creation process, gain insights into the startup ecosystems in Singapore and Southeast Asia, as well as build connections with peers from the region and beyond. Participants will enjoy a comprehensive educational experience through an enriching blend of lectures, panel sharing, ideation and pitching sessions, workshops, as well as learning journeys.

The NUS School of Computing (SoC) Summer Workshop (SWS) is SoC’s annual flagship programme, designed as a hands-on, project-based programme to impart the most sought-after skills and knowledge in Computing today. It will cover topics like Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Visual Computing, Robotics and Deep Learning, Game Development, Analytics, Media, Internet of Things, etc. Participants can look forward to a unique and immersive learning experience, combining highly interactive classes with practical projects to integrate theory with real work applications.

The NUS Science Summer Institutes (NUS SSI) is a newly launched programme designed to foster scientific engagement and exchanges. Participants will attend plenary lectures by renowned professors, engage in conversation with NUS scientist-educators, work through real-world problems in laboratories, and network with contemporaries who have a passion for science research. The programme will culminate in a symposium where participants will share their research findings.
