2021 UAiTED Innovation Competition

ABOUT

The 2021 UAiTED Innovation Competition is designed to fulfill two objectives:

  • Leverage high-tech innovation to facilitate ideas and solutions for problems related to some categories among the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) announced by the United Nations (UN).
  • Facilitate cross-regional, multicultural, and interdisciplinary global talent development.

In this competition, students will need to identify any potential or existing problems of the selected theme and propose solutions that include any emerging technologies and novel business models to support future commercialization. There will be 2 rounds of judging - the preliminary and final. All the commended finalists will stand a chance to win UAiTED Fellowship Award (listed below).

COMPETITION THEMES

According to 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) announced by the United Nations (UN), the 2021 innovation competition will focus on three topics as selected themes:

ELIGIBILITY

Participants must be current students from the member universities of UAiTED

TEAM FORMATION

Each team will comprise 4 to 6 students, among which at least 2 students from other regions. No pre-team formation is required.

KEY DATES

In light of the current Covid-19 situation and travel restrictions, please note that all the events will be virtual engagements.
